A new installation work by artists Birgit Muller and Mike Moran.
‘27 kilos’ visualizes the amount of CO2 an average person in the UK emits each day.
This installation makes a connection between C02 emissions and individual consumer actions using space, video and audio.
27 columns formed from blankets are placed in a space, creating an environment, where visitors are faced with their own CO2 emissions. Each column represents the volume of 1 kg CO2, the gas responsible for global warming. This number is based on the average annual CO2 emissions of 10,000 kg per person in the UK. (1)
